Rectangular well-drained course, the undulations having been levelled and downhill stretches have been drained; run-in of 190 yards slopes to outside; fences portable and well-constructed: the inside of fences 1-4 and 18 are usually dolled off and kept for the later meetings. Well maintained, with fresh ground made available for each meeting.

We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads.
Disabled parking and access to facilities is available. Please advise our gate staff on arrival and they will be able to help you. Note that the going underfoot can be muddy and the terrain may be uneven.
Garthorpe has a range of food and drink stands at all point-to-points. These vary between meetings but there is always hot food and drink on offer as well as a licensed bar.
There are a number of decent local pubs and accommodation providers offering food, drink and lodging in the vicinity of the point-to-point course, as well as sites of interest.

Not all courses have facilities for card payments, so be sure to take enough cash to cover the cost of admission and a racecard, any bets you wish to place, and food and drink.
The four Point To Points at Garthorpe are sponsoring a Top Horse Competition over the coming 2025/26 season. They are putting up £2,000 which will be divided up giving the most successful horse £1000, the second, £650 and the third £350.
