The Point-to-Point Authority (PPA), the governing body for the sport of Point-to-Point racing, is seeking a new Chief Executive to maintain strategic momentum.

This role will have flexible hours and include regular travel to Point-to-Point fixtures throughout the country.

The priorities of the role are to:

  • Provide strategic planning and leadership to ensure the sustainability of the sport
  • Oversee regulatory administrative functions required to run the sport; and develop as required
  • Implement changes as required including at short notice as a result of unforeseen external factors
  • Oversee the promotion of the sport including seeking out new demographics
  • Represent the PPA at events, meetings and Point-to-Point fixtures across the country
  • Manage key relationships with stakeholders, both within and outside the sport including the BHA and HBLB.
  • Manage office and staff within a set budget
  • Liaise across racing and other equestrian sports.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven by success. Evidence of strategic planning and strong communication skills are essential, as is enthusiasm, patience and energy.

The successful candidate is likely to have knowledge of the sport; an understanding of point to point’s amateur ethos would be an advantage.
