Details of funeral arrangements for West Mercian press officer Peter Mansell have been released by his family.
A service will take place at Oak Chapel, Cheltenham Cemetery and Crematorium, Bouncers Lane, Cheltenham, GL52 5JT, on Thursday, October 6 at 2pm. Following the service those in attendance are invited to head to a venue Mansell was known to frequent, the Royal Oak at Prestbury.
His children Jeffrey, Jenny and Steve welcome the opportunity to meet members of the point-to-point community who would like to join them in a celebration of his life.
The funeral for auctioneer Stafford Sampson, one of the West Country’s best-known announcers at point-to-point meetings, takes place tomorrow at All Saints Church, Culmstock, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 3JQ, at 12.30. All welcome at the service and then at the family farm in the village.
