Below is a schedule of Hunters’ Chases being put on between the start and 15th March, including the St. James’s Place Foxhunter to be run at the Cheltenham Festival on 13th March, and for whom the entries closed tomorrow. One change to the conditions of this race in 2019 is that horses are to be ridden by Amateur Riders who are “Category B” or “Category C” Qualified Riders, this condition remains in 2020.
Over this period a total of 7 races spread between Carlisle, Catterick Bridge in the north, and Fakenham, Ffos Las and Stratford in the south. We have mainly Opens in this collection of races over differing distances, including one over the minimum distance and some very reasonable prize money on offer.
The season certainly has not all been easy of late with all the wet and windy weather, but we can hope things change soon and be thankful that after to all the hard work courses have had to do to we have lost only three races so far this season
Let us all hope for a clear run through March, some good, well supported and competitive races to reward the courses who are staging these races we all so much enjoy. Good luck to you all.
