Sunday’s impressive Alnwick winner Indigo Breeze is one of two British point-to-pointers who will go under the hammer at Tattersalls’ Cheltenham Festival Sale on Thursday.
Also in the line-up is Kenyan Cowboy, who won at Charing when making his racing debut last month.
Four-year-old Indigo Breeze (Lot 18) won a point-to-point Flat race at Alnwick, hacking up by 22 lengths and completing a memorable weekend for rider Jack Andrews, who had ridden another four winners 24 hours earlier at Ampton. Trained in Lambourn by Gearoid Costelloe, Indigo Breeze was bought last year by his trainer at Tattersalls Ireland’s Derby Sale for €90,000. He is a half-brother to Gr.1 Albert Bartlett Hurdle winner Brindisi Breeze.

Kenyan Cowboy (Lot 5), who is trained by Fran Nimmo in Warwickshire, was ridden by James King when comfortably winning a maiden point-to-point and beating 12 rivals over two and a half miles at Charing. A four-year-old son of Sholokhov, Kenyan Cowboy was bought by Nimmo and her husband, Charlie Poste, for €13,000 at Goffs Land Rover Sale in June last year.
A half-brother to two winners under Rules, he is out of a mare who was a half-sister to high-class hurdler/chaser Racing Demon.
