Undulating course on side of hill; very sharp turns into and out of home straight can be slippery; long uphill finish and results of many races change after last fence; the going, on old moorland turf, is often good despite late season dates.

Dogs Welcome

Dogs are welcome, but should always be on a lead when on site

Accessibility

Disabled parking area which has more direct access to the public areas on site, plus disabled facilities on site. The site is accessible (flat surface) but is a grass field, so mobility vehicles should be equipped to handle grass/field conditions

Local Area

There are number of local pubs and hotels to the point to point venue – in Silverton you have the Lamb Inn that provides after race entertainment, and is a great pub for food, with a warm welcome for all. Then, in Thorverton you have the Thorverton Arms which is a great pub for food and all visitors are welcome, close to the point-to-point venue also. In terms of hotels nearby, there is the Bickleigh Castle Hotel and the Fisherman’s Cott who provide fabulous accomodation if you wish to stay for the weekend

Card Accepted

Card payments are accepted on the gate, as well as cash payments. Most trade stands accept cards on the site

Food and Drink

Licensed bar on site, at the event. There are also hot and cold food and drinks available from the refreshment tent for the public visiting the event.

Shopping

We have a range of trade stands at the event, from race sponsor stands, to a wide range of smaller rural craft stands in the shopping village area at the event. A perfect opportunity to get some bespoke gifts for Christmas.

Entertainment

We have a range of stands, face-painting for the kids, and guess the winning time competition running on the day for each race, plus a hamper raffle

Alongside A399. 11 miles north of South Molton, 3 miles south of Blackmoor Gate, EX31 4SG. (Nearest station – Barnstaple, then 310 bus service to Bratton Fleming)
