The second of three meetings at Bratton Down takes place on Sunday. A quality number of entries have been received. Gates open at midday with the first race due off at 12pm. Entry is £15 per person with under 16s going free. Postcode EX31 4SG

B Thorne & Son & RSM Beares Members Race

The prolific Walkin Out and Ninth Wave look to lock horns in the opening race at Bratton Down. Walkin Out last finished 2nd at Warwick Hunter Chase evening for Leslie Jefford and Anna Johnston behind Malinas Glory. She took the Mixed Open at Stafford Cross and has remained in good health all season. Ninth Wave was last seen winning a Ladies Open at Cothelstone under Lucy Mager and has been another to have been extremely competitive throughout his career for Teresa Clarke. Emberscombe won a Restricted for Danielle Kenealy and Suvla Bay broke his Maiden tag at Stafford Cross for The Thomas Family. Reflex Action has been in good form since returning to the track and finished 2nd behind Hearts Corner for Heidi Stevens at Flete Park a couple weeks ago. Wick Green won a race at Flete and would be a great winner for Alice Frampton and Shy John Partnership.

Woolhanger Estate Restricted

Troubleisontheway (Danielle Kenealy) has learnt where the winning post is and came home in front at Vauterhill and then again at the first Bratton meeting. She will have to carry a 5lb penalty in this but does benefit with the 7lb mares allowance. Lady Bee Great is another with track form having won the Maiden here last week for Luke Price. Mike Vanstone has had a good season with Buyitdirect and he last finished 2nd to All Rise Malone at South Hill. One Tree Hill enjoys the course and finished 3rd here last week for Louise Kittow.

Bray Leino Ladies Open

Killer Clown has been prolific for Daisy White this season and they have enjoyed plenty of success including taking two Hunter chases. He will have to lump a 7lb penalty. Macklin has had another great season and although he was probably disappointing last time out, he had won his Hunter Chase beforehand. Will Biddick has the option of running him in both the Ladies and the Men’s and he could appreciate a stone off his back in this. Two interesting mares that would receive the mares allowance are Far Out West, again for Will Biddick and Walk Of No Shame for Sam Loxton. Lavorante could be after the National Leading Horse award and has multiple options across the weekend including this. Ninth Wave won under Lucy Mager at Cothelstone and is a prolific winner between the flags here.

Riverside Caravan & Camping Park Men’s Open

Dual Hunter Chase winner Stumps Or Slips looks the big danger in the Men’s Open. Zac Baker has built up a tremendous partnership with the Ed Walker trained horse. Macklin could be the main danger to him along with four-time open winner Beacon Edge. Beacon Edge was last seen getting the better of Imperial Esprit at Peper Harrow for Josh Newman. It was a wonderful result at Upcott Cross when Captain Tommy got the better of Hearts Corner for the Prouse family and they will be looking for another good result here. Hugos New Horse won the mixed open at Woodford under Dan Cherriman for Nicky Shepherd and Clonagoose could look to be stepping up in class in his first appearance in an Open after an incredible season winning six races for Emma Summersby.

The Kingdon Family Conditions (Level 2)

Galudon, for Luke Price, remains unbeaten in all his races that he has finished this season. He has won six so far this season and looks sure to add more in the coming weeks. Envious Editor (Daniel Cherriman) was no match for Galudon when they last met and had to settle for second behind him at Peper Harrow. Emberscombe won a Restricted at Cothelstone and should continue to provide decent results for Danielle Kenealy. Ringsend John provided Bruce Vaughan with his first winner at Eyton and has since finished 2nd. Another jockey to have their first winner recently was Alice Frampton, who won aboard Wick Green at Flete Park and was still in contention when unseating three from home last time out.

Family & Friends of Dora Johnston Maiden

Seven entries could head to post for the last race on the card. Down The Inner (Ed Walker) and Crystal De France (Josh Newman) bring forward the best most recent form. Down The Inner finished a neck 2nd at Cothelstone’s evening meeting and has been the bridesmaid on his last three outings. Crystal De France made a great debut for Josh Newman at Upcott Cross to finish 2nd to the impressive Duffry Sea and should be the biggest danger to the Ed Walker runner. Emma Summersby has Monderra entered, who has been improving with each run and could battle out for a minor honour in this.
