Being a fixture secretary is a big responsibility, but it’s one of the most fulfilling roles I’ve ever taken on. You get to see the whole day come together — from securing the course and coordinating volunteers to welcoming trainers, owners, and spectators. It can be hard work, but when you stand back on race day and see thousands of people enjoying themselves, it makes every bit of effort worthwhile. Claire Fixture Secretary

Volunteering to manage the marketing and social media for our point-to-point was an incredible experience that gave me real hands-on exposure to the sport and the industry. It taught me so much about engaging an audience, building a community, and running campaigns that actually make a difference. That experience has been invaluable — I now run my own business managing marketing and social media for three trainers and two studs.
