The Dunston Harriers fixture at Ampton on 10th January has been abandoned

Stephen Howlett, Chairman of Dunston Harriers Point-to-Point, said “Due to the extreme unprecedented heat of this summer and a dry October, the Dunston Harriers have not been able to establish grass on parts of the course where it had died. We have had no option but to make a disappointing decision to cancel our fixture for the good of the sport and goodwill for owners who we rely on for horses”.

No decision has been taken for the Suffolk fixture, scheduled for the end of February, and we will provide further updates in January.

The PPA would like to thank everyone involved for making an early decision, allowing participants to make alternative plans.
