Facilities

Dogs Welcome

Point-to-points provide an ideal opportunity to spend a day in the countryside with your dog, although please remember that dogs must always be on a lead, should not be left in cars unattended (particularly in warmer weather), and to clean up after them.

Accessibility

Disabled parking and access to facilities is usually available. Please advise our gate staff on arrival and they will be able to help you. Note that the going underfoot can be muddy and the terrain may be uneven.

Local Area

The Lambert Arms, in the nearby village of Aston Rowant, offers food, drink and accommodation.

Other local pubs nearby are the Leathern Bottle in Lewknor and the Inn at Ebrington.

The Sir Charles Napier near Chinnor offers high-quality dining.

Kingston Blount is only 20 miles from Oxford, which offers a number of tourist attractions, accommodation and food and drink options.

Card Accepted

Many of the shopping outlets will take card payments, but be sure to take enough cash to cover the cost of admission and a racecard, any bets you wish to place, and food and drink.

Food and Drink

The Kimblewick Supporters Club will again be running the Stables Bar. A range of stalls selling hot and cold drinks and food will also be present.

Shopping

There will be a number of stands selling clothing, accessories and other household items.

Entertainment

In addition to the six point-to-point races, the Hound Race, with the usual enthusiastic commentary by Meeting Secretary Nick Quesnel, will take place between races three and four. The South Midlands & Sandhurst Area Awards will be presented after the final race.

General Ticket Information

Tickets can be purchased via the Kimblewick Races website at an ‘early bird’ price of £13 until 24th May – £15 per adult thereafter.

Getting There

The course is approximately two miles from Junction 6 of the M40 in the direction of Chinnor. There will be black and gold signs to the course from the M40 and in Kingston Blount village. For satnav, use postcode OX39 4SG.  We do not recommend you leave the motorway at Junction 5, as the route down Kingston Hill is both narrow and steep.
