Each October, the world’s attention turns to the Czech Republic for one of Europe’s great racing occasions – the Velka Pardubicka. First run in 1874, this legendary steeplechase is known for its gruelling course and daring fences that test both horse and rider to their limits. The atmosphere on race day is electric, with crowds flocking from all over Europe to witness a spectacle like no other. In 2025, history was made when Stumptown became the first Irish-trained horse ever to win the race, sealing his place among the greats under an incredible ride from Keith Donoghue.
But this trip is about much more than just racing. You’ll be based in the stunning city of Prague – one of Europe’s true gems. With its fairytale skyline, cobbled streets and vibrant culture, Prague has something for everyone. You’ll be able to wander through the Old Town, enjoy a pint of world-famous Czech beer, or take in the views from the Charles Bridge as the sun sets over the river.
