A new 6th Race has been added to the Quorn meeting with Entries closing on Monday at 12.30 pm:
2mile 4 furlong – Veterans Conditions Race for horses age 8 years + (level 3 conditions)
With the track aerated and decompacted today, irrigation commences tomorrow (Saturday) but it will only be possible to appropriately irrigate the main track and not the inner line required for the P2P bumper Race (original Race 6) and 2 x Pony Races. Thus, the P2P bumper and 2 x Pony Races have been abandoned.
All fences and bends along with the associated racing line will be on the inside line which has not been raced on for a year. There is exceptional grass cover that has already been mown to encourage more growth and cover. The Quorn Committee and Tean Garthorpe are working hard to deliver Safe racing ground
