Organisers regret to announce that the point-to-point fixture scheduled to take place at Knightwick on Saturday 11th November is off.
The River Teme, that runs alongside the course, flooded during storm Babet and the course was under four feet of water last weekend. Though most has gone, there is a lot of standing water in the home straight and the forecast is for more rain between now race day.
As a result, it is not going to be possible to produce a safe, raceable surface and car and lorry parking would also have been a potential problem.
Organisers hope that this early announcement allows owners and keepers intending to run at Knightwick the opportunity to enter at Dunsmore on Sunday 5th November (entries close at 12.30pm tomorrow – Monday 30th October) or Badbury Rings on Sunday 12th November instead.
