Participants
Resources and information for everyone in the sport, from jockeys and trainers to owners and officials.
The Planner is a must for anyone with a competitor’s involvement in the forthcoming point-to-point season.
An A5 softback book, it is published by the Point-to-Point Racing Company and provides details of every race fixture with conditions of contests on each card and secretaries’ phone numbers. It is the first port of call for owners, trainers and riders who want to work out a schedule of races for their horses.
Other information includes the nitty-gritty of some key Regulations which form part of the governance of the sport, from vaccinations to penalties, advertising on paddock sheets and stipulations on body protectors. There is also a guide to making entries for point-to-points and hunters’ chases, every national sponsor’s series is outlined, and so are the area championships in ten of Britain’s regions or areas, from the Northern to Devon & Cornwall and all of Wales.
An ‘at-a-glance’ guide of races in each area saves time when competitors are searching for four-mile races, Flat races, PPORA races or two-and-a-half milers, and there is a wealth of handy phone numbers for such organisers as area secretaries and chairmen to PPORA representatives.
And if you want to know which tracks are undulating, left or right-handed, galloping or compact, there is a guide to all the racecourses.
The Planner is on sale now and available through this website, priced at £45.99. Head to ‘Shop’ to order your copy https://shop.pointtopoint.co.u…
