Any abandonment is a disappointment for so many in the sport, not least the organising committee. Such committees are advised to have financial contingencies in place as it is not always practical to re-arrange fixtures, due the decreasing horse population, fixture congestion and/or objection from other fixtures – in addition to the need to be financially viable.
We (The PPSA Committee through the Chair) must deal with applications to rearrange as quickly as possible, so therefore must appraise the situation promptly, ensuring all factors are considered and each interested party is consulted.
