The countdown to November and the start of the 2026–27 British point-to-point season is officially on.
With the new season now on the horizon, yards across the country are getting busy as horses return to work, fitness builds and plans for the months ahead begin to take shape. From experienced campaigners preparing for another season on the pointing field to exciting young horses taking their first steps towards a racing career, there is plenty happening behind the scenes.
What are your targets for the 2026–27 season? Are you setting your sights on one of our four Classic races, with the ambition of adding your name to the trophy? Perhaps you are chasing one of our National Championship titles or you’re joining us for your first season.
Maybe you have an exciting star of the future in your yard; a young horse you are carefully preparing and hoping will make their mark, with a GB Pointing Bonus YHM race in your sights. Or perhaps you are gearing up to compete in one of our race series, with valuable points and a series title providing the motivation throughout the season.
Whatever your ambitions, we want to hear from you, we want to follow your journey and share it with our pointing community. Send us your videos, updates and stories from your preparations. Show us your horses coming back into work, the youngsters beginning their education and the yards putting in the miles as they build towards the new season.
