About the partnership

The Jockey Club

The Jockey Club works closely in partnership with the point-to-point community to support the grassroots of British jump racing. Point-to-pointing plays a vital role as an entry point for many jockeys, trainers, owners, and fans, and The Jockey Club recognises its importance in nurturing future talent and sustaining racing’s heritage.

For the 2025/26 season, The Jockey Club is the largest financial supporter of British Point-to-Pointing, providing vital investment and resources to ensure the sport continues to thrive.

Financial Support Includes:

  • Ongoing backing of the Mare’s Maiden Bonus Series

  • A new 0–110 Rated Series, with a final at Warwick Racecourse

  • The launch of the “Hands and Heels” Series for novice riders

  • Continued sponsorship of videographers to capture and share the sport

  • An instrumental role in securing HBLB funding for the new £250,000 GB Pointers Bonus programme

It’s More Than Just Financial Support:
The Jockey Club’s partnership goes beyond funding, offering practical guidance and shared resources:

  • Marketing and website advice to strengthen the sport’s profile

  • Access to Jockey Club venues for events and promotion

  • Re-use of equipment, reducing costs for organisers

  • Cross-audience marketing to attract new fans

  • Stakeholder engagement to secure the sport’s long-term future

Through this blend of investment, advice, and collaboration, The Jockey Club helps point-to-point organisers strengthen facilities, widen reach, and celebrate the traditions and community spirit that make the sport unique.

By working together, The Jockey Club and the point-to-point community continue to safeguard the future of grassroots racing, creating opportunities for the next generation and ensuring the sport thrives for years to come.
