Racing at Charing went off very well, although I am sorry to hear that there were some glitches for those watching from home but I believe these were ironed out as the day progressed.
I am delighted to report that the local Constabulary and Environmental Officers were also very happy with what they found once again demonstrating that we run a safe sport, and that everyone is doing their best to comply for which our thanks. For those of you elsewhere I do hope you also had a good day.
However, we had a couple of problems in the run up, which I hope we can avoid for the Easter weekend so please check the following:

PRE-REGISTRATION FOR TICKETS
This did not go too well this weekend. Although majority of you remembered quite a few did not making life difficult for Fixture Secretaries and others.
PLANNER SPECIAL SUPPLEMENT
Due to the wholesale changes to the fixture list, the PPRC have produced a special supplement of forthcoming race schedules. This has already replaced the original Digital Planner and a printed publication will also soon be available. This publication is free to all those who purchased a hard copy planner at the start of the season. If you are one of these people then you should receive your copy within the next few days .
Of course, we are all learning new ropes so problems were to be expected but please do your best to comply with the above. The Declarations system was designed to comply with government requirements re Covid and was planned to be used for 2-3 fixtures. PPRC and PPA are now trying to make it work for 6 fixtures with no extra IT or human support. We need you to help to make it work.
If we can iron these wrinkles out we can settle down to a lovely spring, enjoying our sport and focusing on bringing back others as the government allows.
Kind regards,
Peter, Shelley, Adam
