Kingofthefrontier (GB) has become the first horse to trigger the new GB Pointing Bonus Scheme, earning a £25,000 bonus as a British-bred graduate of the point-to-point field.

Trained by Yorkshire-based John Dawson, Kingofthefrontier won his GB Pointing Bonus Young Horse Maiden on debut at Charm Park in March 2026 for point-to-point keeper Cherry Coward before progressing under Rules.

Introduced at the start of the 2025/26 British point-to-point season, the GB Pointing Bonus Scheme rewards the success of British-bred horses emerging from the grassroots of the sport. Funded by the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) and developed in conjunction with the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), the initiative provides a major boost to British breeding, ownership and point-to-point racing.

Congratulations to all connections on this landmark achievement!
