Colours

Point-to-point owners do not need to officially register their colours unless the horse will be running on a licenced racecourse, e.g. in a Hunter Chase.

Change of Ownership or Keeper/Trainer

Change of ownership forms must be completed and sent to the Equine Services Department at Weatherbys within 30 days.

Hunter Certificate

Hunter Certificate

Before your horse can race it must have a registered Hunter Certificate which should be completed and returned to Weatherbys before the Hunter Certificate deadline for the meeting at which you wish to run – this is usually midday on the Thursday a week prior to the meeting. A Hunter Certificate must be re-registered each season.

For any queries relating to Hunter Certificates please contact the Weatherbys Equine Services Department on 01933 304808 or huntercerts@weatherbys.co.uk

Weatherbys e-Passport Vaccinations App

Weatherbys EPassport Vaccinations App

All GB Pointers must have their vaccinations uploaded and approved on the Weatherbys Vaccinations ePassport App to race in British Point-to-Points.

Vaccinations protect your horse and the wider racing community. Equine flu spreads quickly, and keeping records up to date helps prevent outbreaks and race cancellations.

What You Need to Do:

  • Ensure your horse is vaccinated according to the Rules of Racing and Point-to-Point Regulations.

  • Record vaccinations correctly in the horse’s passport.

  • Be organised and get your horses’s vaccinations uploaded onto the app as soon as possible.

Unresolved vaccination issues by 4pm the Thursday before race day will mean your horse is Not Qualified (NQ), but entry fees will be refunded if your horse cannot run due to app issues.
