The course itself is totally flat and oval, bordered on two sides by the River Severn. There are seven metal fences, all well-built, making the course generally popular with owners and trainers. Watering is available to ensure optimal conditions.
This year, the course will run right handed with SF: 12/16/18. 3 mile race, there are 7 fences and 18 jumps, including 1 Open Ditch that is jumped twice (fences 7 and 14). The 2 mile 5 furlong race also has 7 fences and 16 jumps, with an Open Ditch jumped twice (fences 5 and 12). 2 mile Flat Race for those interested.
